The Cogs jumps on Fuzzy Dogs early and coasts to 12-1 win

The Cogs refused to relinquish the lead after grabbing it early against Fuzzy Dogs, recording a 12-1 victory on Thursday at Field three.

With six runs in the first three innings, The Cogs left no doubt about the eventual outcome.

A sacrifice fly by Felix Thomas and an RBI single by Rich Weiss during the first inning and an RBI single by Jon Nebesnik in the second inning supplied the early offense for The Cogs.

Mike Webster was a workhorse in the circle while bagging the win for The Cogs. Webster pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, three hits and two walks while striking out five.

The Cogs answered Fuzzy Dogs’ top inning with one run of its own in the second.

The Cogs pushed across three runs in both the third inning and the sixth. In the third, The Cogs scored on a solo home run by James Moretti.
