The Cogs offense too much for Country Boy/Kenyon in 17-1 rout

The Cogs jumped out to an early lead on Country Boy/Kenyon and captured a 17-1 victory on Tuesday at Field one (Cog Memorial).

Eleven runs in the first three innings allowed The Cogs to put the game away early. A two-run home run by James Moretti in the first inning and a two-run single by Rocco Dionisio, a two-run home run by Devon Pruitt, a passed ball, and a sacrifice fly by Mike Webster during the second inning fueled The Cogs’ offense early.

The Cogs hit three home runs in the win. Additional home runs for The Cogs came when Dionisio homered in the seventh inning.

Dionisio racked up five RBIs on four hits for The Cogs.

Webster got it done on the rubber on the way to a win. She tossed four innings of shutout ball. Webster struck out two, walked one and gave up one hit.
The Cogs easily handled Country Boy/Kenyon pitching as six hitters combined for 11 hits, nine RBIs and 14 runs scored.
