Early lead gives The Cogs/Miller Financial easy victory over Dundee, 17-2

The Cogs refused to relinquish the lead after grabbing it early against Dundee, recording a 17-2 victory on Tuesday at one.

Ten runs in the first three innings allowed The Cogs to put the game away early.

An error and a three-run triple by Nate Miller in the first inning and a sacrifice fly by Devon Pruitt and an RBI triple by Dave Moxley during the second inning fueled The Cogs’ offense early.

Miller got a hit in each of his three at bats.

The Cogs relied on Mike Webster to eat up innings en route to the win. Webster pitched six innings and allowed one earned run, four hits and two walks while striking out four.

The Cogs pounded Dundee pitching, as eight hitters combined for 15 hits, 11 RBIs and 14 runs scored.
