Webster perfect as The Cogs/Miller Financial defeats CountryBoy 27-0

Tuesday was a day Mike Webster will remember forever as Webster threw a perfect game in The Cogs’ 27-0 victory over CountryBoy.

No one on the opposing team had an answer for Webster as one by one the The Cogs pitcher sat them all down, pitching a perfect game. He punched out six batters while tallying his tremendous feat. Webster got PlayerF to ground out to retire the side and end the game.

Twenty-two runs in the opening three innings allowed The Cogs to easily put away CountryBoy. A two-run double by James Moretti, a two-run double by Felix Thomas, an RBI double by Nate Miller, an RBI double by Rich Weiss, an RBI double by Mike Lawson, an error, and an RBI single by Dave Moxley in the first inning and an error, a two-run double by Weiss, an RBI double by Lawson, an RBI double by Devon Pruitt, an RBI single by Jason Carnell, a two-run single by Moxley, an error, and a groundout by Webster during the second inning helped The Cogs put some runs on the board early.

Lawson put himself in scoring position with four extra-base hits for The Cogs.

 

The Cogs pounded CountryBoy pitching, as nine hitters combined for 21 hits, 21 RBIs and 24 runs scored.
